Kindergarten through 3rd grade

Magic or frustration

The education system expects students to achieve reading proficiency by 3rd grade. The common wisdom states: "Learn to Read by 3rd grade, then Read to Learn." The Magic of Reading should happen by 3rd grade, however, many children learn to read even before entering kindergarten. Life experiences from womb-to-classroom have a significant impact on learning readiness and on reading success.

Students who struggle with reading after 3rd grade have a Skill Gap. The goal is to identify any gaps early and provide the proper training during kindergarten to 3rd grade to close the Skill Gap and empower reading success. Let's work together to provide that training so no children are on the path to frustration.

1. Complete Family Survey. Evaluate homelife, make adjustments to support a great learning environment. Continue home training activities.

2. Evaluate Adverse Childhood Experiences

3. Evaluate and train mindset and social emotional skills

4. Evaluate ADD/ADHD as needed

5. Evaluate and train visual processing skills

6. Evaluate reading skills, complete Reading Kingdom

7. Evaluate cognitive skills (2nd grade and above)

8. Complete brain training program as needed
